So, no pictures this week mainly because I didn’t take any. Sorry, Mom. Though, I’m pretty sure next week I’ll have a ton, because we’re planning a zone activity at the zoo in Leon. Totes excited for that.
Anyway, this week has kind of been amazing. Which is pretty weird considering we only got to work in our area for two days. On Thursday, I got a call from the secretaries in the middle of lunch saying I had to travel to Queretaro to renew my visa. The catch was that I had to leave Lagos ASAP, because I had to take the bus out from Leon at 5, in order to be in Queretaro at 8. Aparantely the secretaries forgot about me (not surprised considering I am all the way out in the boonies) hence the totally short notice. So my companion and I scarfed down our dessert and booked it to our house so we could get everything ready and make it on time to the bus. Definitely the most stressful hour of my life.
But the good news is that I made it safe and sound to Queretaro and I am officially legal for another 6 months in Mexico! It was also way fun catching up with my generation and also my old companion Hna Kitchen (who also had visa stuff to fix), and also just being in Queretaro again. Even though I love Lagos, Queretaro will always be my favorite area.
So that was Thursday and Friday. Saturday we had interviews with Presidente and also a zone training in Leon, so we ended up staying the night to save money and time and all that jazz. And ya’ll already know how much I love listening to Presidente talk, so I’m sure you’re not going to be surprised to hear that the zone training was kind of amazing.
Seriously, it is so obvious that Presidente is a man called of God. Before the training, I had made a list of question and topics that I wanted to bring up with him in my interview. Well, there was no need for that because every question was answered during the training. Can you say revelation overload? Yeah, it was pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I kinda left my notebook at home and so I’ll probably share all of that stuff next week. As for interviews, it was my shortest one yet, but probably one of the most powerful. I came out of that office feeling like I could take on the world. Aaaahhhh, I can’t even begin to describe how much that interview helped me. Presidente Mejorada is definitely the best mission president ever.
Anyway, I don’t have much time left but that’s kinda the just for this week. We’ve been finding new investigators and even though we didn’t have much time to teach them during the week, miraculously enough, they all came to church! Defintely the highlight of my Sunday, not gonna lie. So yeah! Hope ya’ll have an awesome week!
PS – CONGRATS TO ISAAC FOR GETTING INTO BYU!!!! So, so SO proud of you!!!!!
